Privacy & cookies
This notice covers this Drain Engineers website and the enquiries you send through it. Contact us about your information at office@drainengineers.co.uk or on 0800 644 6767.
What the form sends
The form sends your name, phone number, postcode, selected service, optional email address, message and the page used to make the enquiry. Name, phone, postcode and service are needed so we can respond and understand the request. Email and the message are optional. You are not required by law to submit a form, and can call us instead. Please avoid sensitive personal information.
How your information is used
We use enquiry details to respond and take steps towards providing the service you request. Where you enquire for an organisation, or ask a general question, our legitimate interest is handling that request. Security and spam prevention also serve our legitimate interest in protecting the website. Records needed to meet legal obligations are handled on that basis.
The website does not sign you up to a marketing list or make automated decisions about you.
Delivery and service providers
FormSubmit processes the form to deliver it to office@drainengineers.co.uk and retains submission records for up to 30 days. See FormSubmit’s privacy policy. Email is handled by our GoDaddy Microsoft 365 email service. Our hosting provider processes technical information, including IP addresses and page requests, to deliver and protect the site.
Access to enquiry information is needed by the people handling the enquiry and arranging the requested drainage work. Service providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable data-processing arrangements; contact us for details about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
How long information is kept
The form provider’s 30-day period does not also delete the email delivered to our inbox. We retain enquiry information for the time needed to respond, handle follow-up and resolve any resulting matter. Where an enquiry becomes a job, the retention period also takes account of accounting obligations, complaints, legal claims and any applicable guarantee. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion where the law allows it.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your information, or request a portable copy.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us using the details above and explain your request. These rights are subject to the applicable legal conditions.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are concerned about how your information is handled.
Area search
Town and postcode searches run in your browser using data served with this website. Your search is not sent to a postcode lookup service. Results use approximate postcode-district locations to suggest nearby service pages and do not confirm availability for a particular address. Postal location data is adapted from GeoNames, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
Cookies, maps and technical information
No advertising tags, Google Ads connection or analytics have been added to this website. Fonts and images are served with the site. Any essential technical storage used by our providers supports delivery or security rather than advertising.
Area pages embed OpenStreetMap maps. Loading them connects your browser to OpenStreetMap and shares the technical information needed to display a map. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.
We will update this notice if the website’s data handling changes.
